Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM)

HEMM keeps the mining fleet running: hydraulic excavators, rear dumpers, dozers, graders, drills and their supporting workshops. The work is equal parts breakdown response, preventive maintenance planning, hydraulic and engine overhaul, and hard commercial management of spares, tyres, fuel and equipment hire contracts. Fleet availability is the number the department is judged on.
